Washroom project brief

Dolphin Solutions collaborated with Barr Gazetas on the prestigious 20-22 Berkeley Square washroom project.

The client desired a sophisticated and upscale commercial washroom design that reflected the building’s prestige and its prime location across from the iconic Annabel’s Social Club.

The project involved integrating premium washroom fittings and special finishes to achieve an exceptional aesthetic while ensuring a seamless user experience through touch free washroom products.

Washroom project challenge

Given that the building was an existing structure, the 20-22 Berkeley Square washroom project presented several challenges, particularly with tight access for flushing cisterns.

Maintaining the integrity of the historic core while incorporating modern commercial washroom features required careful planning and innovative solutions.

Despite these constraints, the final result achieved a smart, high-end finish that met the client’s expectations.

The Dolphin Solution

To align with the commercial washroom design vision, Dolphin supplied a PVD brass finish for key washroom elements, harmonising with the light fittings from other suppliers. A contrasting black finish was chosen for additional washroom fixtures, enhancing the overall visual impact.

A key aspect of the brief was ensuring consistency between the main washroom areas and the end-of-journey facilities, including commercial showers.

The design seamlessly incorporated black finishes for the Dolphin Roseless Close Coupled Doc M WC Pack and showers, maintaining a cohesive look, while the superloo washroom fittings were finished in brass to reinforce the premium feel.

For installation efficiency and long-term maintenance, the Dolphin Strataplate was used for the commercial taps, which were wall mounted on tiled surfaces. The Strataplate wall plate kit enabled full maintenance access without the need for an unsightly access panel within the tiles, preserving the sleek washroom design.
